House of Music Rock-A-Thon!

Hosted once a year as part of our music curriculum, Rock-A-Thon is an outdoor fundraising event that promotes the education of putting on a live show. Our students promote the event to family and friends while asking to sponsor them to a practicing challenge, similar to a walk-a-thon. This in turn teaches the valuable lesson of how to promote their show, enhances their individual practicing routines, as well as gets our kids excited to tell their peers about their performance!

We wanted to create our own version of a local, community driven block party. Our goal is not only focused on music education, but to also promote our local businesses together in a family friendly environment! We cherish the community we have and strive to bring Orland Park together to support one another!

Our show, running from noon until 10pm, consists of students in our rock band program, as well as bands led by our teachers, local groups, and other members from the community. Not only do we host amazing music, but you will find great activities such as raffles, local food and art vendors, piano smashing (with hammers!), as well as guest appearances from fire dancers, face painters, and much more!

Proceeds from this event are used to upgrade equipment in our lesson rooms, our recording studio, and to help fund the community ventures of our student rock bands throughout the year.
